Ahmed Al-Jarwan served as President of the Arab Parliament for two back to back periods, from 2012-2016. He worked as military attaché in the Embassies of the UAE in both United States of America and United Kingdom. Currently he is a member of the UAE Federal National Council, President of the Global Council for Tolerance & Peace, member of the UAE Chamber of Commerce and Industry, member of the Committee on International Commercial Arbitration in Sharjah, UAE.

Ahmed Al-Jarwan has initiated to establish the Global Council for Tolerance & Peace in 2017. Now this brand-new international organization is headquartered in Malta. The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace aims to promote the value of tolerance and culture of peace, fight against discrimination, religious sectarianism, ethnocentrism, develop the norms of international law to strengthen the principles of tolerance for achieving peace.
