Born in Bulgaria in 1983, Eli Hadzhieva studied economics and political science at the Middle East Technical University, University of Manchester, King’s College London, Sciences Po Paris and l’ÉcoleNationaled’Administration. She joined the Organisation of Economic Cooperation and Development as a consultant in 2007 and served as a parliamentary attaché to MEP in the European Parliament from 2008 to 2012.
Having founded EURELIZ EU Affairs, Media and Strategic Communications and Dialogue for Europe ASBL in Brussels, she has collaborated with distinguished politicians and journalists throughout Europe and the U.S, conducted expert studies for the European institutions and made presentations in various international conferences. She has written numerous articles for prestigious outlets such as L’OBS, Le Soir, EUobserver, Parliament Magazine, Skylife Magazine, New Europe, Euractiv and EU Reporter. She speaks English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Turkish and Bulgarian.
