Sophia Hage wears many hats. Her background as a medical doctor and sports medicine specialist lead her to be the founder and currently clinic manager of Medifit Clinic, a medical fitness center that integrates exercise and nutrition for better quality of life. She is also the co-founder and campaign director of LenteraSintas Indonesia, an NGO that focuses on issues of sexual and gender-based violence in Indonesia. Her current role in Lentera is overseeing the campaign program including the annual roadshow to schools in Jakarta to educate the young generation about sexual violence. The roadshow has reached more than 25.000 students in Jakarta in 2 years.
Prior to these roles, Sophia was the project manager for Indonesia SeGar, a first large-scale collaboration initiative between the government, community and professionals aiming to make healthy lifestyle accessible for all. She was also the co-founder of SelamatkanIbu, a movement to empower doctors to disseminate accurate and evidence-based maternal health information to educate women through social media and community-based training.
She currently sits as a board member in the South East Asia Leadership Academy Network and an alumni committee board member for The Coaching Fellowship. She is a part of this year’s cohort for The Health Equity Fellowship by Equity Initiative.
